Policies for Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting, LLC 

Scheduling

We would appreciate 2 weeks in advance for holidays when scheduling services to ensure sitter availability, but we understand last minute booking and the need for flexibility.

 

Canceling Service

In the event you need to cancel service, please notify us 5 days in advance. Once service begins, there is no refund.

 

Medications/Vaccinations

Woof & Whiskers will attempt to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Under no circumstances will Woof & Whiskers service any pet that has any form of contagious illness. This is for the safety of your pets, other client’s pets, and our own. Woof & Whiskers requires that all pets have the necessary vaccinations/immunizations before service begins. If Woof & Whiskers pet care provider is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the client’s pet which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that incur.

 

Access to your home by others

If customer allows any other person(s) access to their home during Woof & Whiskers contract period, we cannot be held liable for any damages to property or pets as a result. Please notify Woof & Whiskers if someone will be in your home.

 

Fences

Fenced in yards are wonderful play spaces for pets, however, no fence system is totally secure for your pet’s safety. Woof & Whiskers does not accept responsibility or liability for any customer’s pets that escape, are stolen, are injured, fatally or otherwise, or become lost when pets are left out or given access to a fenced in area. This includes electronic, wood, metal or any other fence types.

 

Pet and house clean-up

Woof & Whiskers will properly dispose of pet waste and do our best to clean up any accidents your pet may have. We are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s). We do request that you provide plastic bags, towels, cleaning products, paper towels and trash bags and indicate where you would like the waste disposed of.

 

Outside Pets

We Do Not provide pet care for dogs left outside in the backyard 24 hours a day without a way for them to gain access inside the home, garage, or shelter that has A/C and or heat (protected from the environmental elements).

 

Animal Behavior

Animal behavior can be unpredictable. Woof & Whiskers does not accept responsibility or liability for animal behavior, normal or otherwise, which results in injury to the client’s animals or property. Further, if a Woof & Whiskers pet care provider is harmed or injured by the client’s animals, the client/owner accepts full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention required by either the Woof & Whiskers pet care provider or by the animals.

 

Payment

Preferred methods of payment are cash or check. If by check, make check payable to Jean Sovitski. Payment is due on or before the first day of service.  Subsequent services (unexpected expenses that incur after start of service; such as Vet service, etc.) payment is due no later than five (5) days after end of service period.

 

Keys

A working copy of your house keys must be provided before start of service. If you live in a gated community, you must provide a gate card, remote control or appropriate access codes. No keys will be returned by regular mail. If you are not already doing so, please consider letting Woof & Whiskers retain your house key in the event of a delayed return or unexpected trip.

Keys are kept in a secured lock system and coded for customer’s confidentiality.

 

Client Return

Client must notify Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting when you have returned home.

We must know your pets are being cared for and no additional visits are needed.

 

Animal Emergency

Only after being contacted by the Woof & Whiskers pet care provider, I (the owner) will authorize Woof & Whisker Pet Sitting to transport my pet(s) to a veterinarian in the event of their illness or injury and authorize treatment deemed necessary by the veterinarian. In the event the pet is in need of hospitalization, Woof & Whiskers is authorized to leave the pet until the pet can be transported home. If at-home medication is prescribed, Woof & Whiskers has my permission to administer the directed dosage. If Woof & Whiskers incurs any medical expenses for the pet’s treatment, I will reimburse that amount plus transportation fees, as applicable.

 

Discretionary

If Woof & Whiskers determines that the client’s pet poses a danger to the health and safety of herself/himself or others, Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time before or during its term.  If concerns prohibit Woof & Whiskers from caring for your pet, the client authorizes the pet to be placed in a kennel with all charges to be charged to the client.

 

Agreement for Services

Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting, LLC agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting, LLC except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting, LLC. All policies and guidelines are subject to change at Woof & Whiskers Pet Sitting’s discretion.

 

Agreement for use of Pet photos

The Pet Parent agrees to allow photos and name of pet(s) to be posted on the Woof and Whiskers site for promotional purposes.

 

NOTE:  Your Pet sitter will review this policy with you at the time the service contract is signed.  A copy of both the signed Policies and Contract will be scanned and emailed to you within 24 hours.
